A fantastic case study was carried out recently by Econcervative and we wanted to share it with you. Sometimes no matter how good we say a product is the proof is in the pudding – as they say.
As Econcervative point out the ‘normal way’ to approach engine wear and carbon build-up would be to manually strip down and de-coke the engine including fuel injectors. This can be expensive due to the amount of labour involved and for many car owners something they don’t seem worth doing, taking into account the miles and age of the vehicle.

The test vehicle Econcervative used was their very own trusty Volkswagen Passat Estate with a 1.9 litre turbo diesel engine. It was just 5 years old when purchased, with 96,000 miles on the clock delivering an average of 49 miles per gallon (MPG).
Now 11 years old with 220,000 miles on the clock, its average performance had reduced to 45.5 MPG. Other than a few parts being changed, the engine had never been touched since they had owned it.
So what did they find out after the Terraclean?
1 – There was an immediate improvement in responsiveness
2 – New fuel performance averaged 48 mpg; 6% improvement
3 – 70% reduction of smoke emissions that brought cars well below NCT Diesel smoke emission standard of 1.5 m-1
Well, what a result, no need to remove any parts from the vehicle and it took less than 2 hours to complete. Good job Terraclean Ireland.
